Although the 09/10 Gotama still has the same name as last years ski, it has been completely redesigned. With a wider shovel and more tapered sidecut than last years model, Volkl has taken another step forward in creating one of the most versatile skis on the market. Along with the changes in dimensions, this years gotama features a new camber profile which puts a very low profile rocker throughout the ski. The rocker is significant enough to make this ski float like a powder ski, but slight enough to be stable at speed on harder snow. This is the perfect ski for anyone who wants to be able to go from spinning off cliffs in deep snow to railing a hardpack big mountain line two weeks after the storm.

Features
TOUGH BOX
Tough box is constructed by wrapping the POWER CONSTRUCTION wood core with layers of fibreglass strands. Made up of numerous 4 X 4 wraps, and oriented at different angles the TOUGH BOX increases the strength of the connection between ski binding and ski.

ARMED EDGE
Völkl's proprietary edge anchor system offers an enhanced cosmetic look along with greater strength. The edges on all freeskiing models are built with Völkl logos as their anchors. The logos are lardger than the traditional edge anchor, and offer resistance to breakage and pull-out.

MULTI LAYER WOOD CORE
Multi Layer wood core technology is made up of two wood cores: a denser and more powerful core in the binding mounting area and running along the ski's top layer; and a lighter wood core as a lower layer. Bonded together to create one wood core, and wrapped with the TOUGH BOX construction, this new construction provides precise skiing performance, turning and jumping ease, and an improved binding connection platform.

POWER CONSTRUCTION
Völkl's longest-running construction, Power Construction utilizes traditional vertical sidewalls and a torsion box internal layup. Featured in Race Stock skis as well as all Freeskiing models, this construction provides tremendous grip,
stability, and sensitivity when combined with the Sensorwood core.
